PULMONARY REHABILITATION
Respiratory Rehabilitation is a treatment aimed at people with chronic respiratory disease who suffer from persistent symptoms and deterioration of the quality of life, and their families.
It is generally performed by a multidisciplinary team of specialists, with the aim of reducing symptoms, improving and maintaining the maximum degree of independence and functioning in the community through the stabilization or reversal of the systemic manifestations of the disease.
The main objectives of a Respiratory Rehabilitation program are:

As a general recommendation, before entering a Respiratory Rehabilitation program, patients should be optimally treated from a pharmacological and non-pharmacological point of view.
It is also desirable that patients are clinically stable before entering a Respiratory Rehabilitation program.
